Efficiency Maine Trust has rebated more than 175,000 total heat pumps for space heating over the past 12 years, according to their FY2024 annual summary.
As of 2026, Efficiency Maine continues to offer substantial incentives: [1]
Low-Income: Up to $9,000 per housing unit.
Moderate-Income: Up to $6,000 per housing unit.
Any Income: Up to $3,000 per housing unit.
Bonus Incentive: An additional $500 bonus is available for eligible whole-home upgrades completed by December 31, 2026
