This chart depicts the average supply per hour of fuel types for the winter, December 2024 to February 2025.
Notice how little wind and solar contribute to generation.
This chart depicts Natural Gas demand by sector.
Notice how quickly gas prices rise as residential use(heating/cooking) bumps up from 71%. Also notice the price differential between the Marcellus Hub Price and the Weighted Gas Price (New England Gas Price)
50% of homes in Massachusetts (New England's Most Heavily Populated State) use natural gas for heat/cooking.
Finally, this chart depicts the amount of natural gas in pipelines.
Notice how close to maximum pipeline utilization occurs and how much residential and industrial demands consume.

Why wouldn't anyone who pushes heat pumps not want more natural gas feeding the grid to lower winter electricity prices. Because natural gas heating units outperform heat pumps. They want to keep raising gas and electricity prices and it will not stop until people stop it.
