The New Hampshire Department of Energy is hiring a consultant to assess whether it would be feasible for the state to cut itself off or step back from the regional power grid.

    This could have a huge impact on the Aroostook County Wind Project as it requires an upgrade to transmission which is to be conducted by the ISO and includes costs to building it partially charged to New Hampshire. New Hampshire should give notice to the ISO that they will oppose the transmission connecting the wind project to give the State of New Hampshire time to assess the study.
