<p>Subsidy farming during or after the dustbowl days, to remove farming from New England, particularly Maine with a "Pay not to Produce" tactic to shift it to the Midwest is but one example of a warning. Now we subsidize farming for failure to produce when times get though instead of allowing Market driven pricing. </p>
