The scandal which is wind power in Maine has reached a level of disgrace that a commission comprised of citizens, DEP, LUPC, PUC commissioners, legislators, Governor representatives, MUST be gathered to analyze the genesis of this monstrosity involving false advertising of doomsday scenarios, cajoling of local officials, use and abuse of a terrible property tax situation created by the reckless spending of Angus King and his successor John Baldacci which brought to their knees many small towns in Maine in desperate need of revenues.

Also there is a need to chronicle the manipulation and mental abuse of small town residents who were lead to believe that if they accepted 500 foot tall machines on their mountains they would save the planet and end the war in Iraq, and the misuse of power of public officials who ignored the voices of dissent as they perpetrated this mental abuse. What allowed the imposition of a fascist Wind Law entirely written by the lawyers of the wind industry and blessed and voted without discussion by an entire Legislature whose critical thinking disappeared entirely in 2008 either mesmerized by a powerful propaganda or threatened or compensated with jobs by the wind industry. The wind law annihilated respect for the value of Maine's scenic treasures with no other reason than Maine must be sacrificed to save the planet and prevent the mass exodus of Maine's population, a total lie which was never challenged by lawmakers or the media , even though many of us requested a rational explanation behind that claim.

Many of the folks who had a hand in the creation of Maine's "windustry" either had jobs with the industry, or have moved from government positions into wind industry jobs. An investigation is sorely needed as Maine continues to be raped and sacrificed at the altar of almighty wind. Sooner or later this will happen, and despite lack of reporting by the media, this story is well documented and safely stored.
BTW that from Dunphy was in t…tag:www.windtaskforce.org,2015-07-04:4401701:Comment:657612015-07-04T18:36:48.933ZEric A.
They (EUT) are tired of this Onslaught also. Higgins, Dunphy and a few more probably. Now to get control of the PUC, which listens to the utility companies. We have already exceeded our first goal required by the Feds.... Time to put a chokehold on the Law that allows this in Maine.
The Ellsworth American is the…tag:www.windtaskforce.org,2015-07-04:4401701:Comment:660532015-07-04T18:26:58.534ZJohn Fraryhttps://www.windtaskforce.org/profile/JohnFrary

The Ellsworth American is the state's best newspaper. I've heard that it has been eating away at the BDN's advertisers. We must hope that is annihilates it.
