This good news is making my day, as I start to get very discouraged by what is happening in my own town of Orland. We have passed in a citizen's petition to put to town vote to enact a moratorium, and then calls for a revisiting/revising of our Wind Facility Ordinance. Our selectmen are stalling right now and getting guidance from MMA and the Planning Board before letting me know what they decide to do with it.

Thank you, Mr. Daley, for the diligence in changing the direction of Dixfield. A well informed public will always make the right decision. In every town where a wind ordinance has been proposed that protects the interests of ALL citizens, it has been voted approval. I look forward to seeing what Dixfield will do for a strong, comprehensive, protective ordinance.

Dixfield is a great town and community. The major problem is there was previously a pro-wind selectboard and pro-wind Town Manager, who either misinformed the public or withheld information from the public regarding health impacts, property devaluation impacts, true tax implications, negative state appropriation impacts to the school district, lack of full time jobs, etc. They put forth a wind ordinance that was flawed, potentially illegal due to improper zoning, not in harmony with the…

WE ARE NOW TRYING TO UNDO WHAT HAS BEEN DONE through amending the previous wind ordinance and educating the general public.
Congrats Dixfield, and thanks…tag:www.windtaskforce.org,2014-08-24:4401701:Comment:571342014-08-24T02:07:52.918ZPeter Beckfordhttps://www.windtaskforce.org/profile/PeterBeckford378

Congrats Dixfield, and thanks a lot, if you can complete the task of keeping turbines out that'll be one more part of Maine I'll be able to stand being. You are saving your town so much misery. Slam the door!!!

Maine has been accused of having a "brain drain" by the media. Obviously, their assessment does NOT apply to Dixfield. Congrats Dixfield!! The cspan show last night on the climate change conference in Vegas was interesting. The originators of climate change hysteria changed their minds when they realized their "models" and predictions were not supported by any sort of scientific methods. That also explains why nobody in the wind industry will show their sources or reveal their math so anyone could check it. I guess it is easier for most politicians to just accept wind industry baloney then to demand scientific proof which might be hard to understand.
Neighbor of yours who wants t…tag:www.windtaskforce.org,2014-08-23:4401701:Comment:575032014-08-23T18:06:35.159ZWhetstone_Willyhttps://www.windtaskforce.org/profile/WhetstoneWilly
