Wind and solar subsidies extended in C-19 stimulus bill

There you have it, the wind and solar crowd got an extension on subsidies in the latest $900MM stimulus bill and the Maine delegation was all in. This could unleash a storm of new development in Maine. I encourage everyone who cares about this beautiful state to call all of our esteemed representatives in DC and express your outrage. If you haven't seen the obscene spending in this bill, here it is:

I think 17 countries are set up with this fake Stimulus bill.  I say "set up" because foreign aid is a form of money laundering for DC.  Money floats around in obscure foreign banks and then gets transferred into target accounts.  With DOJ and FBI guarding the hen house, it's no problem for these crooks.

Mike Pence memo of 12/22/20 - select excerpts.

Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution requires that “Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors.”  Therefore, the papers (or “slates”) the states attempted to submit to the President of the Senate and Archivist of the United States are not legal, permissible certificates of votes and lists by Electors as recited in Title 3, U.S.C., sections 9 and 11.  Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin violated the U.S. Constitution’s Art. 2, S.1, Cl.2 and 14th Amendment, Section 1, Equal Protection Clause in administering their elections, therefore rendering their slates impermissible.
The President of the Senate, as the Vice President, statutorily sits on the National Security Council and is privy to information no other individual in the Presidential electoral process has — not the States, not the SCOTUS, not U.S. Congress. This specifically includes any classified evidence and assessments which emanate from EO 13848 regarding foreign interference with US elections. Therefore, the President of the Senate is uniquely qualified to issue judgement on impermissible electors.
On Dec. 14, the States consummated a fraudulent and Constitutionally deficient certification of their electors as required by 3 USC 7.  State and federal authorities have discovered Overwhelming evidence of election fraud and irregularities since Nov. 4, likely  rising to the level of criminal election fraud and public corruption. Civil courts dismissed these claims procedurally, rather than on substance.
############################################################################

The drafters of the memo also tell National File that, assuming the six contested states – Pennsylvania, Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Nevada – do not remedy their Electoral College certificates by either selecting them in the Legislature or holding another election, President Trump will prevail in the Electoral College.

As there will no longer be 538 possible electoral votes, with several states having having disqualified themselves by refusing to comply, President Trump will have accrued 232 electors to Joe Biden’s 227.

As part of the $900 billion coronavirus relief package it passed late Monday, Congress is set to allow mixed-status households with undocumented family members to receive stimulus checks that they were denied under the first round of legislation in the spring.

Under the bipartisan agreement, U.S. citizens and green card holders will be able to receive $600 in direct aid, even if they filed a joint tax return with an undocumented spouse, as well as additional $600 checks per dependent child, according to congressional aides and the text of the legislation.

The new compromise would also retroactively make mixed-status families with one Social Security number-holder eligible for the $1,200 per household and $500 per child checks allocated by the CARES Act, which was enacted in late March.

Wind, solar, EE, CO2 storage win tax breaks

The Energy Act of 2020 includes:

1) A two-year extension of the investment tax credit (ITC) used by solar power generators (keeping the ITC at 26% through year-end 2022 instead of falling to 22% in calendar year 2021)

2) A one-year extender for the production tax credit (PTC) used by wind developers, and a NEW 30% ITC for offshore wind projects that commence construction by the end of 2025.

Wind and solar generation, energy efficiency and carbon capture all won tax break extensions in the massive stimulus and budget bill that was poised for approval by Congress Monday night.

In addition, the in-service window for the 45Q carbon capture and sequestration credit was extended by two years to the end of 2025 and waste-to-energy projects also will be eligible for the ITC.

The bill also re-authorizes the Advanced Research Projects Agency–Energy and the Weatherization Assistance Program through fiscal year 2025 and requires the Secretary of the Interior seek to permit at least 25,000 MW of wind, solar and geothermal projects by 2025.

The provisions — consensus provisions from the Senate’s American Energy Innovation Act (S. 2657) and the House’s Clean Economy Innovation and Jobs Act (H.R. 4447) — were included...

Richard,

I rearranged the italic text and added clarifications

THE OUTRAGE OF WIND AND SOLAR LARGESSE IN THE COVID BILL
WIND
Current law without this latest action requires any new wind project to start construction before the end of 2020 to earn 60% PTC (1.5 cents) per kWh.
With the extension they now have until the end of 2021.
The IRS development window is still in place which means developers have 4 years from the date of starting construction to get their projects in service.
Offshore wind earned its own benefit – a 30% ITC through to 2025.
The cost will be exorbitant.

A key question is whether big wind can afford to be constructed onshore in New England, or the US East coast at a 60% PTC.
All of the wind built in the recent years have been either at the 100% PTC, or 80% PTC.
NEW ENGLAND CONDITIONS:
1) NE has a mediocre wind resource (the worst in the US, except the South)
2) The land is costly to build on
3) There will be costly delays because of fierce opposition
4) The extensions/augmentations of the NE grids would be very costly.

SOLAR
Solar received a reprieve of 2 years on the phase-down of the ITC.
The ITC phase-down began after 2019.
So projects that started construction in 2019 earned the full 30% ITC.
Projects started in 2020 earn 26% ITC
Projects started in 2021 earn 22% ITC

Thereafter a permanent 10% ITC was available.
Under the change, the 26% ITC continues through to the end of 2023, and then phases down to 22% and 10% respectively.

WIND AND SOLAR GOT EXTENSIONS Of SUBSIDIES

That will do a great job of DESTRUCTION on Northern Maine, by plastering it with 500-ft-tall wind turbines, and spread solar systems of several thousand square miles all over New England.

Wall Street should be very happy.

COST SHIFTING IS THE NAME OF THE GAME REGARDING WIND AND SOLAR

Richard McDonald,

You have done a great service to the people of New England.

This is a mind-boggling assortment of last-minute misdeeds

This is a perfect example of Congress coddling the friends of the ingrained DEEP STATE, at the expense of the American People.

This is what Trump has been trying to stop to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN

The entire Congress, helped by Washington lobbyists, was looking forward to have a VEHICLE on which to hang PRESENTS, at the last minute, while no one is looking.

Pelosi's $20 BILLION for the USPS is in there. The very same USPS that illegally processed at least several MILLION of fake mail-in ballots, BEFORE THE ELECTION, that helped the SWING states steal the election from Trump.

https://www.windtaskforce.org/profiles/blogs/here-is-a-write-up-abo...

Pelosi's $25 BILLION for "Transit Infrastructure" is there, pg. 169

Pelosi's $30 BILLION for the "Department of Education Stabilization Fund"; that will keep high, already-bloated, education payrolls.

$3 BILLION to upgrade to the IT department of the VA, i.e., upgrade their computer systems.

$40 BILLION for the "Take Responsibility to Workers and Families Act", pg 164

That is for direct payments to workers?

$1 BILLION to "Airlines Recycle and Save Program", pg. 163; what in hell are they recycling?

$300,000,000 for Pelosi's "Migrant and Refugee Assistance", i.e., open the borders to bring more illegals into the US and help them get settled; pg. 147

Off-the-Charts Largesse to Foreign entities

$25 Million for Pakistan GENDER programs; what in hell is that?
$1.4 BILLION for "Asia Reassurance Initiative Act"; what in hell is that? Those countries already are robbing us blind.
$250 million in Palestinian aid
$85 million to Cambodia
$700 million to Sudan
$135 million to Burma
$130 million to Nepal

Oh, there is $600 for each unemployed AMERICAN, as an afterthought.

How much will THOSE checks amount to?

No honest person can say the election wasn't stolen. Trump has said he hits back 1,000 times harder. I am not yet giving up on the idea that he is quietly planning his counterattack on the treasonous election thieves and that many will go down by firing squads following military tribunals. Please keep your oath and save the nation President Trump. It is not just within your rights; it is your duty. Don't follow the narrative of the mainstream media. They are your mortal enemy. Follow their advice by going quietly and they will go on to destroy you.

Please watch the Situation Report video.

The Biden crowd may be talking 100% renewables by 2035 but it's an even bigger lie than the 2020 election. Fossil fuels and nuclear will still bear the brunt of demand. Electric Cars will also not be running off of wind and solar. Those that do....... will be staying in a garage.

The way things are going with our rigged science and media, by 2035 most of the public won't have a clue. They will be facing a new set of lies we haven't even thought of and the billionaires like Ugly Zuck, will still jet-setting around in their Lear Jets.

And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
