First Comes the Energy Collapse

First comes the energy collapse, then the food collapse, then the economic collapse, then the financial markets collapse— then anarchy/ chaos —- the Globalist brought this on—- unfortunately, the world’s Deplorables will pay

Electric Delivery Simplified Versus the Way Seth Berry Sees It.

Berry lies about CMP being a monopoly. They are a regulated monopoly. The regulatory agency in charge of overseeing CMP and Versant is the Maine Public Utilities Commission(MPUC)

The MPUC has great powers to make sure the investor-owned utilities are transparent about their management and operating systems. Consumer-owned utilities mostly operate in a single town or city and local control is within a single municipal governing board. The MPUC has minimal say in the conduct…

The Man Is Up to No Good.

 We now have the man that set out to destroy Central Maine Power Company and wasn't going to let the ratepayer's agony of high electricity prices stop him, preparing to bleed even more money from the ratepayers as he demands total takeover of CMP AND Versant.

   He supported RGGI, and the expedited wind law and solar net metering and Efficiency Maine Trust and long term, above-market priced contracts with wind and solar and placing…

An Under Selling with a Purpose?

The wholesale (supply) price of electricity has gone so high ( + 143% above last year), that wind projects are willing to give money back in long term power purchase contracts.

Helix Wind sells half it's output to CMP customers at $36.50 per megawatt-hour while wholesale prices averaged $107.42 per megawatt hour.

Remember Walmart destroys it's competition by  under selling them.

Helix Wind is Bleeding Off Revenue

   Helix Wind, the company that acquired Kibby Mountain Wind signed a long term contract with Central Maine Power. The contract calls for the sale of 50% of the output from the wind project for $36.50 per megawatt-hour

   The lowest wholesale price on the ISO-NE market for the past week has been $55 per Megawatt hour.
    This means CMP buys for #36.50 and sells for at…

Electricity Prices by The Numbers

 We noted that April 2022 wholesale electric supply prices were 2.285 times the 2021 prices (More than doubled)

    What about March 2022 to March 2021?  Prices were 1.97 times higher (Almost doubled)
    February? 1,52 times higher (1 and a half times more)
   January?  3.39 times higher or more than three times 2021.

How The Trees Save Maine.

 Sharing electricity with dysfunctional states like Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut is absolutely absurd.
    Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island are pursuing offshore wind projects like their very existence depends on it. What an insane idea! And, it wouldn't be so bothersome to us in Maine, but, unfortunately, Maine, being a participant in ISO-NE, is adversely affected by what Southern New England elitists conjure up in the name of saving the…

CO2 Science

"One red flag that immediately pops up when focusing on this time period is the observation that, despite a consistent and near-exponential rise in atmospheric CO2 over the past 150 years, temperatures fluctuated between periods of both global warming and global cooling. In addition, it is difficult—if not impossible—for climate alarmists to adequately reconcile the fact that…

Maine Needs Courage.

   Maine is unique and  Maine people can be a fiercely independent sort about certain things, even when committed to sharing obligations and rewards with neighboring states.

   Maine people rejected the idea of a transmission line to supply 24/7 electricity into the grid Maine shares with the 5 other New England States.
   Maine also is unique in defining renewable energy…

Electricity Prices by The Numbers

  ISO-NE informs us that the average wholesale price of electricity in April 2022 was $59.39 per Megawatt hour, or a 128.5% increase over April of 2021. So, what was the wholesale price of electricity in April 2021?

   Some algebra is required.
   59.39-X = 1.285X
            +X   =          +X
    59.39  = 1.285X + X
    59.39  = 2.285X
   X = 59.39/ 2.285…

CO2 Science

"Hello. I’m Dr. Craig Idso, Chairman of the Center for the Study of Carbon Dioxide and Global Change. In recent years, governments and elected officials at all levels have proposed or enacted regulations and laws designed to restrict the use of fossil fuels via tax, caps or fiat limits on CO2 emissions.
Such efforts are based upon the notion that CO2 emissions are polluting the atmosphere and causing dangerous global warming.…

According to ISO-NE, It Isn't Intermittent Resources Like Wind and Solar, It's the " Intermittent Climate "

Statement From ISO-NE, June 1.2022

"Though ISO New England expects the region to have adequate supplies of electricity this summer, conditions could force system operators to take action to maintain system reliability. ISO New England operators have many tools at their disposal to maintain the overall reliability of the power system. These well-established procedures protect the region in the event of an unexpected power plant or…

Maine Center For Public Interest Reporting – Three Part Series: A CRITICAL LOOK AT MAINE’S WIND ACT

******** IF LINKS BELOW DON'T WORK, GOOGLE THEM*********

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
