Maine has a Canadian electric connection with New Brunswick with a transfer rate up to 700 megawatts, could be 1000 megawatts if transmission constraints didn't exist.
Maine can obtain another Canadian connection with Hydro-Quebec with a transfer rate of 1200 megawatts with the NECEC project.
The combined total power from these two sources can provide most of Maine's power needs.
