Massachusetts & Rhode Island Failing Net Zero Climate Goals

These states have been spending money on renewable energy projects like drunken sailors, with the media acting like cheerleaders for their failing wind agenda.

.

Massachusetts fought the war on fossil fuels as if it were a real war. Fossil fuel plants shut down, and gas pipelines were denied access. The states, after a failed and disastrous land-based wind project, still only look at ocean wind turbines, ignoring other renewable energies like safe, small modular reactors.

.

Unenforceable state laws enacted to require a 50 percent emission reduction by 2030 are a hoax on the general public. The legislators and bureaucrats created Wall Street-style tax shelters.

.

Massachusetts, after building the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center and an ocean wind port in New Bedford and passing years of renewable energy regulations, still ranks in the top ten for high energy costs. Energy bills have become a second mortgage on residential homes.

.

Since 2019, electric rate payers have watched the circus called the SouthCoast Wind permit process, which has cost 600 million dollars. Politicians and the media blame repeated delays for SouthCoast Wind on the failure to meet the so-called ambitious state-mandated climate agenda..

.

How quickly the media ignores SouthCoast Wind was allowed by and with the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities (DPU) to approve the termination of the signed project power agreement in 2023, with the company agreeing to pay $60 million in penalties. SouthCoast backed out of legally binding contracts.

.

In Massachusetts, wind turbine blades have fallen off in Gloucester, Plymouth, and Nantucket. Hundreds of ocean wind blades are defective off the coast of Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
.
Commercial wind is a bunco scheme of enormous consequence, and people who value intellectual honesty should not be slowly fleeced by such mendacity, even from their government officials. Citizens are in danger of unaffordable heat due to increasing energy costs. The danger disproportionately affects the elderly and low-income communities.
