This was just received late Monday evening via Face Book Messenger from anti-wind activist Norman Milliard of Greenwood regarding the vote to adopt a restrictive wind ordinance for the Western Mountains Region town.  Calpine was planning a massive project on 3 mountain peaks to the south of Mt. Abram Ski Resort.

"Vote tally: 206 YES. 41 NO. Very loud celebration after the tally was announced. We await their next move."

Calpine will be back with more of the  taxpayers subsidy money in an attempt to reverse their vote. Not enough  graft  money was offered to the town officials and vested interests to influence  the vote it seems.  Greenwood citizens should maintain their vigilance.

In addition ,the Wind Bastards and Wind Mafia that have infiltrated the State House in   Augusta   rely on the citizens to become complacent in order to  continue their push for wind scamming in the State of Maine.

Town's zoning ordinances have proved invaluable in giving Mainers local control over this world wide scourge.  LD 199 in 2009 would have given the state total authority over WT siting.  Early resistance nipped it in the bud with a strong showing at the State House.  The Natural Resource Committee heard the testimony and voted "ought not to pass".  Now the Greenwood folks have done their homework.  Good for them!  Let's hope they put their knowledge to good use in continuing the fight in Augusta.  The wind industry still has thousands of MWs of turbines in Maine's future in the ISO-NE queue.

Another win for the "Rubes" that live away from Portland and Augusta. Real citizens with real facts and real worries about their communities HAVE SPOKEN!!!

The wind industry is providing propaganda or misinformation. If you review U.S. Voter Fraud statutes you will find they are guilty of such action or behavior.

Look up Voter Fraud.

So 83% of the people against wind. Funny how the wind industry's rigged polls tell us just the opposite. Folks, these ordinance votes are the real polls. When put to a real vote, over 90% of protective wind ordinances pass. What is it about "Mainers don't want wind power" do the politicians, paid off environmental groups and completely biased media not understand?

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
