CONFRONTING MAINE AUDUBON reps. at Common Ground's environmental tent.

Confronted the people from Maine Audubon yesterday at Common Ground on their support of wind farms.

They were very defensive, and had a scripted response which evaded specifying wind farms; but what emerged is they don't directly do any investigation of bird or bee kills or the effects of herbicide spraying in transmission R.O.W. or destruction of bird habitat; they rely on third parties to do that.

Take some pic's of dead endangered species and keep confronting them. Find out if the wind industry has contributed to their funding and beat them up with it. Call them hypocrites who are only protecting their jobs and not the avian community.  Show hem photos of dead golden eagles.

As CMP lost control of a local town presentation, they get flustered at times and make statements they know to be true but would generally be unwilling to state. Record these public events, at least in audio, preferably in video. Then publish it, even if in raw form, then make it available to the public. This is how to put them on the spot to the world. Never edit in your opinion, they can expose themselves for what they are.

Money corrupts.  Lots of money corrupts absolutely.  You're right, Frank, it's face to face in a public place.  That puts them on the spot.

My point is that 'letter writing' isn't as effective as face to face confrontation of their outreach staff at an event in front of others. Waving the evidence in their face gets the job done; esp. if it is undeniable facts. Didn't realize that they took so much wind industry money...tainted money, indeed!

Other events will occur, be alert for them and be prepared to confront the corrupt environmental organizations....what would John Muir think?

Audubon,liars and self serving

NRCM, Maine Audubon, Maine Futures Land Trust, Maine Sierra Club, and the list goes on. They are betraying Maine, by not living up to their stated purposes. They work for Profit through your donations, with the profit being their paid salaried employees. Supporting lax Mining laws, wind, and other Anti-Environmental issues. Make a list of what they have "Exactly" done for Maine, other than raise a little stink, so as to make a minimal trade "In the Name" of protecting the environment. They are Environmentalists in Name Only!  EINO's, RINO's, DINO's all self serving. When an Industry hopes for a grass roots "responsible" perspective result, Maybe, just maybe our legislature should listen.

Thank you, Frank.  Audubon knows perfectly well that habitat loss is the number one threat to all wildlife, including raptors, bats and migratory birds, and filling their airspace with blades under the guise of "saving" them is a farce.

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
