What do we really know about wind power? We are told it’s “green” and reduces our dependency on foreign oil. That’s exactly what the people of Meredith, New York thought when wind energy developers offered to supplement the farm town’s failing economy with a farm of their own—that of forty industrial wind turbines. Attracted at first to the financial incentives, some of the townspeople grew increasingly alarmed as they learned about the potential side effects. Windfall exposes the dark side of wind energy development and the potential for profitable scams.

This an excellent movie that I saw on a small screen at my local LIONs Community Center in Goodhue Mn. I hope it will be available on DVD for home viewing soon.
