I get so sad when I see this stuff..and that CT thinks they will get crumbs from Maine..and who said those of us in northern Maine will benefit from these inefficient projects? in the long run we all lose..especially our forests, wildlife and health..northern Maine will be ruined. Tragic-

The 250 MW is the design capacity of the Number Nine, not the probable output, called capacity factor. I know this region of low lying wooded ridges with very little wind potential (rated "poor" to "marginal" by NREL). In 2012, for the entire year, Maine wind sites generated just 24.27% capacity factor. This reduces potential output of this massive site to 61 MW. It is still a fickle trickle of unpredictable, unreliable, non-dispatchable electricity priced at double the current wholesale…

CT's RPS is simply an arbitrary, ideological based mandate that is not only unnecessary, but is costly both financially and to the natural and scenic resources of the beautiful state of Maine. CT, if you want wind power so you can smugly say you are being "green", then I propose the Litchfield Hills be filled with these ugly, useless 500 ft. tall machines. Damn fools.
