Wherever these things go the world over citizens fight tooth and nail. Wherever they have shown up in Maine, Mainers have fought their hearts out spending extraordinary time and money. With the number of moratoriums and ordinances cropping up, it is clear that Mainers do not want these things. We don't live here because we want to live inside industrial plants and that is exactly what these things are. It is completely clear that these produce high cost electricity, lower property values and don't do a damn thing for CO2 reductions. And it is abundantly clear practically all the jobs are temporary and like a grain of sand in our state. Yes, despite the big mouths of the wind companies and their mercenary accomplices, the jobs are very few. But the number of Mainers who are up in arms in every place they show up are far from few.

So since the state knows it's all just a scam, are they going to protect the PEOPLE are are they going to be a marionette of the federal government and dive on any subsidy scrap that is dangled before them? The irresponsible federal government that has buried us in debt. Just as charity starts at home, so should common sense. We can expect no common sense from the federal government these days.

Many of us worked our hearts out to elect Governor LePage and put a stop to Baldacci's crony capitalism. What about us? The people. The good people who should no longer be ignored and trampled upon so that a handful of already filthy rich out of state (mostly) individuals can make fortunes on our backs and our once beautiful state.

I am thrilled for you Rumford. I cringe when I look at the turbines on Route 17they are awful. The poor birds, moose, deer and the list goes on. I live in the Stratton area and we have been fighting to save our mountains for years

The Rumford vote is so wonderful for all those early groups who fought much in the onslaught and initial battles, before there was a state coalition movement. None of them lost, becasue the word was SPREAD!

The Bowers initial LURC decision (the slime will keep trying) and the Rumford, Dixmont and other wise ordinance decisions are the result of much prior work and battles fought .

Lexington was lost in 1775. The first battles were hard and dirty, the turbines went up, but the war was only starting.

WELL DONE RUMFORD, HOME RULE RULES!

Towns are waking up, LURC is on the run, and the Wind Scammers are very worried.
