<p> Does anyone remember the attempts at electric heat in the late 70's here in Maine? It was a complete failure! And it will be the same with heat pumps. Just ask anyone who has one - They are ineffective in very cold weather. </p>

<p>If we want to be independent with energy in Maine, a catalytic wood pellet or wood stove as two of the least polluting heat sources available!</p>
