You said CO2, There is NO CO2 problem, the facts were faked.

I am really up set with the fact that the CO2, green house gas, and the linkage to global warming or climate change are lies, and yet it's still used. Why do people continue with CO2 and climate change? The records that were hacked from Britain's University of East Anglia have been proven to be true, the facts were faked to promote C02 Green House Gas, Climate Change & Cap on Trade. But people are still ignore that, false facts so they can tax us to death with cap on trade. The fact is we have been in climate cooling since 1998. We have NO Energy Policy. Van Jones getting convicts to work on Green Jobs is no Energy Policy. We cannot continue down this road, we can put a lot of people back to work in America producing energy that is cheep and wont damage the environment.
California has pass AB-32 "Cap on Trade" which is driving nails into the coffin each day, Calif. dies each day 20%+ unemployment & 65 billion deficit, this is the USA model!
What a shame, to kill USA with good intentions!
If you let the government it will charge you for the CO2 that comes out your mouth, with a tax or a fee, and tell you how much you can breath!

"People will find a better mouse trap without government help".

Yes, hopefully one big enough to come crashing down on our crooked elected officials.

I may see Global Warming or Climate Change different. I see GW pushing us to other form of energy before it's time and because of faked proof of GW, and with very expensive costs, that send money from rate payers to a carbon exchange. Along with all that I see windmill that do not have to run because of production tax credit. I see massive environmental damage land and wildlife. Cart before the horse. If the government does not allow private development with out passing laws to force it it will be a bad thing like Ca. has pass Cap on . People will find a better mouse trap with out government help.

Well writ, Long Islander. let's stay focused.

Long Islander, Well said with good OLD FASHION COMMON SENSE . The Citizen"s Task Force on Wind Power in Maine is getting bigger by the day, and a lot of Our Leaders in gov. Big and Small will not be leading any more after the Citizen"s in this Great State of Maine get and have a VOTE on Wind Power. Freemont Tibbetts, Dixfield, Maine.

Long Islander speaks for me, too, Darryl. I personally think the argument about global warming is divisive. My everyday goal here is to stop the proliferation of 400 foot wind turbines that destroy our land and cause anguish and heartbreak for so many people living is the shadow of these monsters. And, to unmask the proponents of wind power for the snake oil salesmen they really are.

Darryl, even for those who believe in manmade warming by way of CO2, the typically immense wind power footprint on the land and accompanying massive degradation of the land, cannot be justified by what invariably are miniscule reductions in CO2. Major degradation for wholly minor effect is a very poor tradeoff, particularly when there are so many other ways to reduce CO2. Here in Maine, where we have the oldest housing stock in the nation and a cold climate, a few feet of caulk in old homes would reduce fossil fuel usage infinitely more than the 360 miles of 400' tall turbines envisioned by the Governor - to say nothing of the massive new transmission structure that is needed solely to accommodate the industrial wind complexes. Of course, Joe the Weatherizer can't lobby as well as the wind industry.

The history of science teaches us that technology and knowledge always advances, no matter how smart we think we are. Fifty years from now people will be laughing that we went into technological reverse at the turn of the century and embraced wind. They will have the benefit of hindsight and breakthrough technologies to make them laugh that hard. If we were to take all the money that the government is foolishly pumping into feelgood "green" icon du jour wind wind turbine into R&D, that true breakthrough technology would come our way faster. Our leaders need to lead as such, not follow the siren song of lobbyists.

With respect to Global Warming, the opinions held by the members of the Citizens' Task Force on Wind Power - Maine vary quite a bit. I personally make it a point not to engage in arguments over manmade global warming for the reason that it is potentially divisive and it is very important that we stay united. The wind industry would love to see us divide up and argue this.

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
