Funny how these stories find their way into to the media headlines. Over the last few weeks there has been a lot of buzz about the wind industry's rigged energy production numbers. These scumbags know that the public is closing in on their bogus wind turbine energy production numbers.

The story below talks about how wind energy deliveries are down. The problem with this story is that CA has had a very mild year beginning in Sept, the beginning of our rainy season.  Yet for the months Sept-Dec 2014 (still part of this year's rainy season) this fraudulent industry has reported higher energy production and higher capacity factors for their turbines than in 2012 and 2013. They reported to the EIA 14% more wind energy being produced than during for the same period in 2013 and 23% more wind energy production than in 2012.

Just because a greedy company has claimed to have purchased power or produced power on an EIA form doesn't mean anything.   It is voluntary reporting with no accountability back to the actual wind energy produced.

Remember these wind projects are shadow corporations that are affiliated with bigger corporations. In many cases would be like you writing a receipt to yourself saying your wind farm sold you a certain amount of energy that can be a mixed origin, that you them delivered to customers as being green.

Yes we have had a mild winter but the reported wind energy deliveries are probably down because much of the past reported wind production never existed.

Now that  the public is getting educated about this industry and the rigging of production tax credits from taxpayers, I believe we will be seeing wind energy production numbers plummet for the entire industry.

Wind does not expose the enormous electricity bill they create from the grid.

I heard they power purchase, then sell as green and gather RECs also.

Does anyone have the wind production figures for Maine? I have only seen the 2012 numbers. What about 2013 &'14?

Thanks! Paula

As far as I know..............wind is by far the most elusive energy source to pin down. Hydro is metered and other electricity sources are connected with known quantified volumes of a fuel source.

Do all power generators operate this way, or just grid scale wind?

Comment by Jim Wiegand on April 15, 2015 at 6:47pm

No it is reported by keeping track of the so called "green energy purchased, green energy contracts traded/sold amongst friends, and applying predetermined averages to a mix of output totals. Meters would probably save tax payers billions.

Isn't wind power metered when it enters the grid?  I just don't understand how the figures could be fudged.

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
