Wikileaks: Soros Stooge Trashes Climate Scientist’s Career

The editor of ThinkProgress, the Soros-funded attack dog site, has been caught boasting to a billionaire liberal donor about how a smear campaign by one of his minions helped damage the career of a reputable climate scientist.

Here is how the Podesta clan moonbats at Think Progress/CAP Action try to portray Mr.Trump's opposition to industrial wind & solar--typical leftist irrationality.

Strange (or not) how Time Warner Cable is 21 hours late in allowing me to view this post just 30  minutes from my other computer......  Ever wonder ?

This from the national review article is what resonates with me:

What lessons did he learn from his stint in the climate-change discussion? He replied that the debate is “almost religious in its intensity.” Instead of having a rational discussion about the best ways to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, the debate has become solely “about power, about who gets to speak and whose voices are deemed legitimate.” The smear campaign against him by Romm and ThinkProgress was designed “to make public speech costly.”

Ditto in our Maine towns and debate about industrial wind energy facilities. Who gets to speak and whose voices are legitimate and public speech coming at a cost. I have to honestly advise anyone wanting to speak out that they had better be ready for the potential for abuse and retaliation from the powers that be. Makes me sad and angry. And a wee bit stubborn and reluctant to roll over and play dead.

When Climate Change discussions change from reasoning to the level of becoming a Religion it is no wonder there is such a fanaticism about it. My experience has it that those that argue the most wildly about religion understand it (theirs) the least. My ex-wife was a prime example. So the next time an avid discussion on climate change starts, the best thing to do is ask....... In detail, explain this !  Most can not even remember basic 8th grade Earth Science. (assuming they have been teaching that for the past 40+   years)

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
