It all comes down to the green — green cash money that is.

Carbon credits are tradable certificates.  Each one allows the holder to emit one ton of carbon emissions.  This has created an extremely valuable market out of the polluted thin air for buying and selling these carbon credit permits.  The CCX (Chicago Climate Exchange) allows businesses, mutual funds, and other investment groups to trade these carbon credits and offsets like any other stock.  Interestingly, the public company that runs the CCX also runs the European Climate Exchange.  

More importantly, it's not having any effect on actual total carbon emissions.  Undeveloped nations and businesses that are going green are selling their extra carbon credits to industry-rich nations and other heavily polluting businesses that have already burned through their own supply.

Following a hunch after taking in this must-read Forbes article, "Blood And Gore: Making A Killing On Anti-Carbon Investment Hype," which outlines Al Gore's immense wealth created from investing in climate credits, I looked to see if any other well known Democrats might have investments in this racket.  Very quickly, I learned that the Clinton Foundation has so many initiatives put forth by carbon credit investment groups (a count on the Clinton Foundation's own webpage lists 39 pages of results) that the rabbit and ozone holes never really end.  A few of these investment groups have even been uncovered to be scams, like this one out of London that committed to the Clinton Foundation at least twice and then used that partnership to validate itself to the people it was scamming.  

The Democrats' end-of-the-world prophecies regarding the climate crisis are a way to influence these carbon markets.  The more people value a carbon credit, the more it's worth, like any other supply/demand model.  The more the credit is worth, the more the holders and hoarders of them make, my guess is, a lot of them are voting for the party that increases their value.

See how climate science becomes alarmist propaganda

Summary: Our elites believe they can shape our minds through propaganda. This is most obvious in the barrage of exaggerations and misrepresentations of climate science, designed to panic us into approving the Green New Deal. Here is an example of how this happens, the news equivalent of turning gold into straw.

Large-scale propaganda works, unless fought. It can mold the opinions of a people – irrespective of its truth. The 20th Century provided enough evidence to put that up with F=MA on the list of proven theories. The current climate alarmist propaganda barrage is on a scale seldom seen in US history. Since there is no longer effective opposition, they can make even the wildest claims. Their preferred method is to take climate science papers, exaggerate their claims (in either scope or certainty). Then journalists use these to manufacture clickbait stories (the 21st C version of “if it bleeds, it leads”).

For example, see this from alarmist Eric Holthaus (a writer at Grist). It has 8k retweets and 16 likes, and was featured in Naked Capitalism’s daily links. Holthaus re-tweets climate scientist Stefan Rahmstorf’s exaggeration of the study’s results, and further exaggerates them into fiction. The new study says none of the things Holthaus describes. Fifty years to melt Antarctica?

Speaking of propaganda, and its close cousin censorship, here's some timely reading on the most censored man in America, Alex Jones.

Joe Rogan says 'misunderstood' Alex Jones was right about Epstein: 'That is a f---ing fact'

“I know Alex so well. I’ve known Alex for like more than 20 years,” Mr. Rogan said Tuesday. “We’ve been hammered together so many times. That is the most misunderstood guy on the planet. … He needs somebody to go, ‘Alex, slow down. You had a real good point there.’ He even agreed with me. We talked about it. I said, ‘you just need like a rational journalist who’s next to you to, like, study.’ He’s like, ‘You’re right. You’re right. I do need that.’ I go, you need someone who just balances it out. Look, he was right about all this Jeffery Epstein s–. That is a f–ing fact. Alex Jones called this years ago. Years ago.”

Epstein was found dead in New York’s Special Housing Unit of the Metropolitan Correctional Center last weekend, which prompted a federal investigation.

Mr. Jones was banned by YouTube, Facebook, Twitter Apple and Spotify in 2018 after the companies accused him of violating their terms of service.

Facebook’s rationale, in part, included the claim that he was “glorifying violence.”

“[Alex Jones] was saying that [Epstein and fixers] take a lot of famous people to this island and they have all these young girls that this guy hooks them up with,” Mr. Rogan continued. “He was talking about this years ago. Now, it is mainstream news. … This is a fact, man. … Some people don’t represent the best aspects of themselves right to people and then other people try and define them.”

Mr. Rogan also agreed with the statement that the Infowars creator was ahead of the media when it came to controversial genetic testing experiments.
