But several key energy words were missing in action. There was not a single mention of biofuels. Not a word about wind energy. And nothing about electric vehicles.
Recall that it was during his State of the Union address in 2011 that Obama claimed that “We can break our dependence on oil with biofuels.” In that same speech he said the US could, “become the first country to have 1 million electric vehicles on the road by 2015.” But in last night’s speech, after years of support for the corn ethanol scam, biofuels got nothing. And electric cars got no love at all. None.
And while biofuels and electric cars went missing, The Biggest Loser in last night’s address was the wind industry.
That can be verified by looking back at the last three State of the Unions.
But last night, nothing about wind. What happened?
In a word, prosecution. In November, after years of a pernicious double standard under which the wind industry had a de facto exemption from prosecution under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and Eagle Protection Act, the Justice Department finally—finally—brought charges against the operators of a wind project that had been killing birds. A subsidiary of Duke Energy agreed to pay $1 million for killing golden eagles and other federally protected birds at two of the company’s wind projects in Wyoming.

I thought His MAJESTY (O'BAMA) EXEMPTED -EXECUTIVE Order -Compliand with MBTA and the EPA!!
He Just recently INCREASED the "ALLOWABLE EAGLE KILL" by Wind Turbines to 300!! In other Words He Alone and By Himself AMENDED an EXISTING Law by EXECUTIVE Order!! I thought it was up to the U.S. Congress to AMEND Laws?? Its Time to IMPEACH mr. Obama-and to CHALLENGE EVEREYTHING He does to the U.S. Supreme Court! HE's the Person that Needs to be PROSECUTED-Lets get on with it!!

Now That The STATE has opened the Door to the "LAND RAPERS" They Are going to Put up a Wind TURBINE every 1,000 feet on EVERY Mountain top they can get to! There are NUMEROUS members of The State Legislature (2008,2009) That are RAKING In MILLONS Of dollars of KICKBACKS for their COMPLICITY in this SCAM/SHAM!!

Do you really think this wind crap constantly being thrown at mostly passive Maine citizens would be tolerated in the southern New England states to the extent it has been in Maine?
They knew enough to throw it up north, where many still think it is "Maine , the way life should be".
At the current rate of wind sprawl development, it will be "Maine, the way life WAS"

Just sue the bastards, everywhere, anyway possible.
Maine needs much more aggressive anti-wind legal actions.
These scoundrels should have been stopped years ago, what is lacking is $$$ for aggressive litigation here, and lawyers willing to pursue it.

Bryce is right on here. What is needed in Maine is real data on eagle/prior protected species kill that has already occurred. We need the numbers.Of course , First Wind et al has been allowed to control the data (what a farce) if I am correct.
Legislation is needed for independent dead bird counts by the legally involved agencies like IF&W. Please correct me if I am wrong. Then aggressive litigation in federal court should be pursued. These acts tie up and/or financially damage the developer.

Check out this link. This is the true energy source of the future. Cheaper than the dirtiest coal. More environmentally friendly than wind or solar. Nuclear power without the nuclear waste issues.

KEystone Pipeline Will Have Just as Much Impact as the ALASKA PIPELINE DOES-or More!I have a Friend Who is Professional in the Oil & Gas Industry-He says in Fact If The Pipeline Does FAIL it will literally be as devastating as the TRAJEJEDY that took place in the GUlf three Years Ago (i think)..This "TAR SANDS OIL"
