Public Meeting on Energy Plan Update Postponed

AUGUSTA- The Governor's Energy Office has postponed its Wednesday, January 10, public meeting on the state energy plan update, due to home heating delivery issues statewide.
"The Energy Office has been very busy over the last couple of weeks assisting constituents with home heating fuel delivery problems," states Energy Office Director Steven McGrath. "Many Mainers are still having difficulty obtaining timely fuel deliveries during the state's severe and prolonged cold weather. We have been coordinating with fuel delivery companies and distributors, and will continue to do so until heating fuel deliveries return to normal."
The purpose of the public meeting on the Energy Planning Roadmap, originally scheduled at the University of Maine in Presque Isle, was to solicit Mainers' input on the state's Energy Planning Roadmap. The Office is seeking comments on how the state might best advance the state's energy, economic development and environmental goals.
The Presque Isle meeting will be rescheduled at a later time.
