Governor's Energy Office Advises They Did Not Broadcast Today's Energy Meeting

Here's the latest via an email at 2:10PM today, 12/29/17. This, despite the fact that this was announced as a meeting one could audio stream on the EUT website.

12;56 PM Dec 29, 2017 status:

I was just notified by a wind warrior who was in Augusta that "I called the LIO and they said it was supposed to have been streamed. They also said the meeting ended at noon. " 

Note the website still shows the meeting as in progress.  So for whatever reason, the public was told about the meeting and was notified it would be streamed. In fact, I suspect some members of the public may have decided to "attend" the meeting via the scheduled streaming rather than attend in person.

The start time for today's meeting was published as 10:00 am in the Press Herald and 8:00 am  on the EUT Committee website. As of 9:45am there was no audio at http://legislature.maine.gov/Audio/#211

Perhaps the meeting is in fact starting at 10:00 am and audio will be available online at that time.

For what it's worth, the EUT website currently states that the meeting is in progress.

The above screenshot from the EUT website says the starting time is 8:00am. The article below states 10:00am, If anyone can clarify, please do.

The Governor’s Energy Office is asking Mainers for their input in developing an Energy Planning Roadmap, aimed at advancing the state’s energy, economic development and environmental goals.

The road map will use the 2015 state comprehensive energy plan update as a starting point. It has broad objectives: achieve energy and cost savings in the residential, commercial, industrial and transportation sectors; reduce pollution and greenhouse gas emissions; and support the growth of a robust state and regional energy market and workforce.

The office is working with the Environmental & Energy Technology Council of Maine, known as E2Tech, to hold public hearings on how to target strategies to meet these objectives.

Dates and locations have been rescheduled from earlier this fall. All meetings are from 10 a.m. to noon.
