Maine EUT Co-chair Seth Berry on Renewable Energy in Today's PPH
Rep. Berry uses the word "wind" three times in his piece. Each time he prefaces it with the word "offshore", implying he is looking out for just the offshore wind industry. But don't be fooled -virtually all the wind turbines built to date in Maine have been on land. Berry is simply protecting his friends in the wind industry - irrespective of where they might get away with placing their next set of ratepayer robbing "subsidy meters".

These policies and actions have denied lasting, good-paying jobs and opportunities for Maine businesses to serve our region. Another fake factoid by the far left wind supporter twisting the facts to fit his narrative. In fact it would be a huge benefit to the state in stabilizing the rate of electricity, something that the windmills he supports will never do, as they are not dependable and don't produce enough to be a productive benefit to the state. The pie in the sky destruction of our mountains must be stopped it's a fallacy that wind is green, they destroy mountain tops and then major access roads cut and major access tracks cut for transmission lines! There would be less disruption of wildlife by the transmission from Canada to Lewiston than all the disruptions by the pathetic windmills that can never be depended on because the wind doesn't always blow, that in itself means we can not shut down any of the older generating plant because they have to be maintained for when there is no wind and the 'battery' backup is cost and ability prohibitive. This article is a sham with no true value for the ratepayers of Maine, only the shackles of wind power that doesn't work!
