Global Warming Study Canceled After Humiliating Discovery
An expedition designed to gather evidence of global warming and “climate change” in the Arctic was canceled last month after a humiliating discovery was made: There was so much ice in the Arctic that the icebreaker it was going to use was needed elsewhere.
How positively ironic. The trip had been planned just months in advance, but the ice remained too thick to penetrate with even the most powerful icebreakers. These global science clowns could not predict the climate in the Arctic a few months in advance of their trip and they are trying to tell us they can predict out 100 years? This isn't science.
This is just one trip to the poles among many that have had to be cancelled in recent years because the climate is just not cooperating. When the climate does not do what your predictions say it will, it's time to change the model.

I have just read and cc'd the original source and found that it was not the 'thickness' of the ice, but rather that the calving/melting and enormous accumulation of ice floes that prevented the Admundsun from proceeding. Thus, it appears that warming has had an affect in the Arctic.
That this was not anticipated, however, is both puzzling and concerning ... as we have google earth that could have easily shown conditions of ice accumulation at least a month ahead, with the assumption that this would not decrease and should be considered.
