David Littell Shilling for Wind in Kennebunk
Last night in Kennebunk David Littell, PUC Commissioner whose last day in office is next Friday, was indeed shilling for wind. He started with a slick video presentation on showcasing dirty belching fossil fuel wind facilities and emphasizing the need for renewable energy. He spoke of climate change, sea levels rising, and the melting of Antarctica. He said nationally we must be at 20% renewable energy By 2030, and transmission is the key to making this happen. Maine must focus on transmission ( a la Angus King)! Littell, who said he is leaving Maine,but did not disclose where he was going, said Maine is being destroyed by development, young wealthy individuals who are building McMansions all over the state (??where??). He basically rebuffed any questions or statements that Maine is already 50% renewables and much of wind energy is being shipped out of state. Well, as I read somewhere earlier, Don't let the door hit you in the butt as you leave David!
