Budget cuts threaten NOAA climate programs
The Office of Management and Budget outline for fiscal year 2018 proposes sharp reductions in specific areas within NOAA, such as spending on education, grants, and research.
WASHINGTON — President Trump’s administration is seeking to slash one of the government’s premier climate science agencies by 17 percent, delivering steep cuts to research funding and satellite programs, according to a four-page budget memo obtained by The Washington Post.
The proposed cuts to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration would also eliminate funding for a variety of smaller programs including external research, coastal management, estuary reserves and “coastal resilience,” which seeks to bolster the ability of coastal areas to withstand major storms and rising seas.

With an agency, NOAA, that routinely fakes and publishes fraudulent data, this is just a beginning. Their data for the last decade has been fudged and that is a FACT. They got caught and all of them should go to jail, not just be cut loose. There has been ABSOLUTELY NO GLOBAL WARMING FOR THE LAST 18 YEARS. That is a FACT. But the phony scientists at NOAA and the IPCC have managed to fudge their data and then conveniently lose it when called on it. It was a way to justify going to Paris and sign the Phony agreement. It got done a week before Barry left for Paris. Convenient!
The sooner we can cut every cent from these charlatans can't come soon enough. Let real scientists do their study, not AlGore and his crooks.
