I would be pleased to interject that it would seem to me that anyone that may travel the Lee Road, Rt. 6, which runs adjacent to  this Industrial Complex and has at least had their previous views despoiled by this monstrosity, not to mention those that have homes and properties adjacent, should most certainly be a part of this group lawsuit. In addition I would add that those that lie beyond this wind development but must pass and view in order to access their properties, homes, and camps should obviously also be a part of this as this is the entranceway to a great deal of natural recreational properties and long time Mainer' homes. Our camp and properties lie in Lakeville and from our mountain, Bear Mountain, we will most likely be able to view the proposed Carroll Plantation development and the Passadumkeag development. We will at least be able to view their flashing red lights. Had we known this development would take place ten years ago can you imagine that we who make our living in New York but originally hail from New England states would have decided on our new home to be in a place such as where we currently live ? We KNOW our property values are decreasing but can not bear to leave our beloved lakes and mountains. We choose to stay and fight. Please join us.

Quality of place is most important to all not a few shekels promised by an unreliable corporate entity with paid political friends. Please join us here and in our other areas across the state. Mother Earth is depending on us all.

If anyone knows the contact information for the lawfirm handling this class action lawsuit could you please forward it to me. I live in Dixfield at the base of Col. Holman (a contemplated mountain for a wind project by Patriot Renewables) and this may be an avenue we have to pursue at some point. Thank you in advance for any assistance you may provide.

Too bad the animals who inhabit our mountains have no voice in this matter.

Do you know who is behind this? The web site is registered to a consulting firm in Switzerland.

One gathers that the "innovative technology" has not been sufficient to mitigate noise issues??

Unfortunately there seems to be a decided trend of wind energy operators and others to use litigation or the threat thereof as an excuse to be unresponsive to the negative impacts of their projects-  This has been an on-going problem for the neighbors of municipal/private 3-turbine wind facility in Falmouth MA for over two years and in Fairhaven for neighbors of a 2 turbine privately operated project on municipal land.  It certainly seemed to make double jeopardy for the folks in Vinalhaven.  Best to all.

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
