PPH - TransCanada looks to sell Maine wind farm

More of the type of reporting we have come to expect that misleads the public on wind, including the old standby wind industry propaganda line -- 'the "wind farm" generates enough power for 50,000 homes' -- when in fact this is totally untrue. By now, wouldn't you think the media would know not to keep delivering such misleading information to their audiences?

Maybe a story would be in order on the collapse of the media's longtime pet company First Wind, now SunEdison and how…

For Patrick Woodcock, the key takeaway is the fact that Maine has a resource that southern New England wants

Not sure how much of this is reported correctly - please decide for yourself. Is Patrick Woodcock talking about wind? By the way, southern New Englanders do not want wind. Rather, their corrupt bribed legislators do as obligation to their corporate masters and the average person gives this no thought. When the average person in Mass was asked to voluntarily opt in for wind, there were virtually no takers (less than 1%).…

Foreign Ownership Translates into Higher Electric Bills

By Mary Kay Barton

So explain why a sitting U.S. Senator has standing to compel state officials into approving a foreign corporation from an acquisition that the public was so vehemently against........Here is the real rub and the hidden motivation for giving favorable treatment to a foreign company. The miserable failure of industrial wind electric generation is so well established that most politicians are now reluctant to even mention the pie in the sky benefits from this extremely…

NY: Iberdrola considering another Tug Hill wind project

Iberdrola is constantly evaluating wind projects throughout the country, and “part of that process is always to be looking for new sites and new opportunities,” he said....... Mr. Copleman said the five-year renewal of the federal wind and solar tax credit is certainly…

Another Epic Fail for Maine Wind Industry: EUT Committee Kills the Baldacci Bill - LD 1513 (Watch Eric Tuttle's Video!)

Be sure to watch Eric Tuttle's video. The camera brings sunlight, the great sanitizer.

Can we get a statue of Eric right up next to Paul Bunyan?

Bless you Eric Tuttle.

And thank you to all who fought so hard to defeat this nightmarish bill from Rep. Mark Dion, the wind industry  and the utilities including ex-Gov John Baldacci's new employer, Iberdrola, where in December 2015 Mr. Baldacci was made Vice Chair of their wind division,…

Web Tune-In Right Now - Our "Representatives" Desperately Trying to give $$$ Billions to Iberdrola and Emera at Our Expense

Ex-Governor Shameless John Baldacci, now Vice Chairman of Iberdrola's wind division has certain handmaidens in the EUT working overtime to find a way to deliver a totally unjustifiable and immoral special interest bill to Iberdrola -- against all logic and all that's right.

EUT Tune-in Alert Right Now from Bernie Trump Cruz

Tune in NOW. This is what Steve Thurston wrote about the other day. It is CRITICAL. It is the establishment, donor class, billionaires, thieving Wall Street crowd corrupting our system, destroying our state, running over Mainers like shantytown denizens in the 3rd world and shaping the law to line their piggish pockets.

Signed,

Bernie Trump Cruz…

Later Today the Maine Legislature’s Committee on Energy & Utilities could be asked to vote for a disaster

LD 1513 seeks to undo a very wise Maine law that prohibits cozy business dealings between utilities (like CMP and Emera Maine) and generation companies (like SunEdison and Iberdrola Renewablles). The purpose of the existing law is to prevent generation and distribution companies from conspiring to financially exploit consumers like you.

Hannah Pingree on the Maine expedited wind law

Hannah Pingree - Director of Maine's Office of Innovation and the Future

"Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine."

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
